Project Two: Affordable Housing
Many people in Kilgoris live in homes without electricity, running water, toilets, or proper furniture. Their homes are built from mud or iron sheets and are not safe or sustainable living environments.
Affordable, quality housing is incredibly hard to find for the average-waged Kenyan — and that's why we have a vision. We’re planning to build a community of homes that are safe, comfortable, and truly affordable, giving families a place where they can thrive.
The heartbeat of Kenyan culture is community. Everything is done with others in mind. We dream of a neighborhood community where everyone is safe, comfortable and able to continue to do life the way they do it best - together.
Goal 1:
Create empolyment for local construction workers, apprentices and tradespeople.
Goal 2:
Improve living conditions for families currently in inadequate housing. Build community pride through neighborhood development.
Goal 3:
Establish foundations for long-term economic stability.
